I feel like having celebrity girl crushes is so much more acceptable now. It is kind of funny; I have had them for ages! There are just women who you admire professionally and for their inner and outer beauty.

So in addition to Kate Winslet (who I have loved for nearly 15 years!!), I have three girl crushes at the moment.

Billie Piper from (you guessed it) Doctor Who and The Secret Diary of a Call Girl:

And lastly, Romola Garai from Atonement and I Captured the Castle and the new version of Emma on British tv:

I just finished reading her autobiography; I think that I would like her. Her early career as Britain's version of Britney Spears sounds really "craptastic."

Did I ever tell you all my funny Liv Tyler story? If I haven't, I will post it, but if I have, I don't want to bore you all with it again.

This is pretty funny and happened here in Boston a few years ago.

A friend of mine from work, let's call her "Sally", was going through a divorce, and, although she had given up smoking years ago, she started up again during her separation. So one day she realizes she is out of cigarettes and walks down to the local gas station to pick some up. There are two people ahead of her in the line: an older man, skinny, with crazy brown hair, and a younger woman. As Sally waits her turn in the line, she realizes that the older skinny man with the crazy brown hair is Steven Tyler, lead singer of Boston-based band, Aerosmith.

Or at least she THINKS it is him and gets the attention of the woman in front of her to get a confirmation with a bit of whispering and pointing, trying not to be completely obvious, as you can imagine. The woman confirms that that the man is, indeed, Steven Tyler, and gives Sally a smile. Now Sally is very pleased with herself that she has recognized Steven Tyler at the gas station and watches him as he leaves and then in turn the young woman pays for her stuff and then leaves.

It is only when Sally finally gets to the register that the clerk turns into a bit of a fan boy and asks her if she could believe that was both Steven Tyler, from Aerosmith, AND his daughter, LIV TYLER, in the store. Sally was totally embarrassed. Yes, she asked Liv Tyler if that was her dad standing in front of her and totally didn't recognize her at all!!

I thought that was HILARIOUS.

Fun fact: When Aerosmith first formed in Boston, they lived just down the street from my old apartment.
