i agree with kaity that mccain was very classy in his speech, but found it funny the news reporting that palin had prepared her own speech! LOL- i guess someone in mccain's camp told her no- the presidential candidate gives the speech, not you!
i am VERY excited for Obama to get into office even though he's starting out with the country in a hole!

and speaking of people's stupidity concerning Obama- did i already mention the conversation my husband's exwife had with my stepdaughter? my daughter seemed pretty pro-obama, and her mother asks her "But Latisha, don't you know what Obama's last name is??"
my daughter- "Uh, mom, his last name IS Obama."
her mom- "No Tisha! His name is Obama BinLaden!"

my daughter cracked up laughing at her idiot, completely misinformed mother!- "No mom, his name is Barack Obama!"

my mother met another woman in her office who was convinced of the same thing because she "read it on the internet".................i think it 's more scary how naive and uninformed people can be about something like choosing a leader... and i could care less if obama or even mccain chose a muslim faith, it's not my business, and this is a country with a right to religious freedom, not the popular choice.

i heard it too, but i think it was something she said after a long day......a flub statement.

i think you don't realize how many people really get stuck on republican vs democratic over here, and don't bother to research the "person" or representative at all. and there are MANY conservative republicans out there.
in britain, how does your voting work? because even here, the "popular vote" does not decide it for us.
