An advent calender counts down to Xmas from the first day of December... you can buy these calenders in the shops with little windows which you open one every day (and they're numbered too!

Hmm, I'm liking this idea...very, very nice.
Eye-candy is good, but I'm such a pig...can I still have chocolate, too, LOL? And yes, Deme...Advent calendars come with actual little pieces of chocolate on them. Normally, you open a little "door" (or flap)on the calendar every day before Christmas and there's a flat piece of chocolate behind the "door." At least, that's how the calendars I've had have been. Haven't had one in years, though. Cris

really? chocolate in advent calandars? that a great idea. The Advent calandars we usually have are different. When you open the little flap, there is a part of the Christmas(Nativity) story. So then you get the whole thing, spread out through December. yep.
