Oh, I can't wait for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too!

Wow, someone on another board was explaining the symbolism in SW, and said this about the items Mort bought at the store towards the end. What do you guys think?

"Okay, the Morton Salt, Land-o-Lakes Butter, and Vanity Fair napkins all represent something. The Morton Salt represents him putting the salt on the corn. The corn grew where he buried his wife. The Land-o-Lakes butter represents the lake that he threw the car into AND the land that he lives on near a lake. The Vanity Fair Napkins represents the fact that he was vain because he had succeeded at killing all those people AND that he was going to wipe away all that from his memory and become a new man. Get it???"

"Morton Salt: Shooter's covering up Amy (the corn) with Mort (the salt)
Vanity Fair Napkins: He's proud of his accomplishment and when he's done eating them he'll wipe himself clean (napkins) of the mystery and his guilt (if he has any).
Butter: Umm I guess it's just drenching the corn in the butter the same way he pushed the truck with the bodies into the lake."

And did anyone else think Johnny pulled an 'Ed Wood' in the end with that enthusiastic, eerie smile?

Oh, and I loved that scene when Mort was on the phone with Amy, which went something like: "Me and Ted aren't together right now," and Mort replies with, "I wouldn't be lying if I said I'm on the verge of a Snoopy dance."
