Well I dont know any as I was taught in person by a lovely lady, so I really cant help, but I will say to stay away from grey-company.com as if you read their FAQ they tell you that their sindarin in made up for their RPG.
If you want to you can check out my elves board as I am giving Sindarin Elvish lessons...just click on the link that says Sexy Elves board... Although the lessons are only for those who truely want to learn the language and are willing to take the time to learn it. |

Darkenedelf: There is a vocabulary page here I don't know how much help it would be but it has sindarin and quenya. I also know of a sight where you can type in a word and it will translate it to elvish writing that I will give you if you would like it.

 By the way, is there an elvish word for a dog? And then you said about the Sindarin lessons... How much time they will take (about?)? Because I'd really love to learn Sindarin but it's just that schools keeping me quite buisy... Ok well I am back so I can once again answer those questions and translate things for you.
Auroora  Dog = h The Sindarin lessons dont have a time frame, they can go as quickly or as slowly as you want. At my board we are doing group lessons but I have also said I be willing to do one on one lessons via email as that way its easier to go faster or slower depending on your needs. Sorry I have no idea what that word is, if it is spelt right then maybe its a Quenya word, I dont know that many Quenya words.

Hmm, there hasn't been much posted in here on a while...

Hmm . . it looks like Quenya to me:
er = single/only fir = mortal Thus, [i]erfir[/i] would I suppose mean "only mortal"  I don't know much about Sindarin forms, but according to my (limited) Sindarin vocabulary: er = lonely/alone adan = Man (mortal) Possibly [i]eradan[/i] is "only mortal", but don't trust me on that. oh gosh, i feel really dumb,
 u guys know like heaps of stuff. The only elvish i know is from the movies! which i have memorised *bows head in embarrasment* i tried to write a poem, but it turned out oh so wrong. if it isnt too much trouble could one of u guys translate it for me?The leaves ever growing, the winds ever blowing, In rivendell where the fair do dwell, An elven princess, awaits her love, under the stars, they share their love, Elessar and Evenstar In rivendell where the fair do dwell. The only parts i have translated, are (i dont know which language it is though!  )um. I laiss - the leaves Vi Imladris?- in Rivendell and Undomiel- Evenstar Quite hopeless. |
