More than halfway through The Amber Spyglass. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Mary Malone is winning me over; I hope the Assassin doesn't get her!

It is so funny though because all the adverts for The Golden Compass film seem to be about Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman and I LOATHE both of their characters. All my favorite characters are secondary.

i have just started "eclipse", and i still want to throttle bella..........how can you want to spend an eternity with someone....but be afraid of marriage?

I don't trust her, and she stole Lord Asriel's vehicle. I hope she redeems herself. I don't even really believe she cares about Lyra. (In the land of the dead with Roger at the moment...)

Mellie- I cried my eyes out when Lyra left Pan on the shore in the land of the dead!! It probably didn't help that I was already in an overly emotional state.......but it broke my heart for Pan! My husband walked in and caught me crying, and kept trying to guess what was wrong.

ION- I'm almost finished with Eclipse...... the love triangle and sexual tension is killing me!

In my opinion, Jacob is trying to force an imprint on Bella...... but I would gladly take her place

MORE HIS DARK MATERIALS SPOILERS:

Lindsey-

That part was SOOO difficult to read; I felt awful in my stomach. I don't think that I cried there though. I definitely cried when Will and Lyra realized they were going to have to live in separate worlds.

I totally didn't know where he was going with the whole Mary Malone/Amber spyglass storyline until the very end. I really liked Mary, and I hope that things work out for Will and Mary now that they are back in our world.

OK- i finished Eclipse!

I really didn't like bella in the second book, but she completely redeemed herself by the end of the third! I LOVED how she finally admitted that she was in love with Jacob also!

i can't wait for any follow up books..... I'm still not ready to let go of these characters so i started reading twilight over again

Can't say That I have read Eclipse but I have heard it is good.

Kat: Don't know if this will help with the need new books thing but...

I just finished reading "Never have your dog stuffed" which is an autobiography of Alan Alda. It was pretty good! (he plays Hawkeye in M*A*S*H)

And before that I read "Six Sacred Stones" by Matthew Reilly. I really like his books.

Cool! It does make me laugh tho every time I read stuff about Harry and Ginny's children. Sounds like bits from extremely cheesy fan fic stories.
