Lost Season 6: Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the smoke monster

Even though the sixth and final season of Lost isn't due to air until early 2010, I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread for speculations, spoilers, etc. Last night, Michael Emerson (Ben) won an Emmy. I think that his work on this show has been outstanding. He is such a complicated character and only a great actor could make you love Ben one week to hate him the next. Hoorah for Michael!

I visit hotmail, google (well, my toolbar has google so I don't actually go to the page), yuku, cnn, and currently - netflix - daily.

I'm really loyal to google and cnn, but what do you guys do when you're online but you're not here?

So, I'm finally watching Doctor Who (season 1). I'm only on the third episode, but the show is NOTHING like I thought. At first I thought it was coocky, but I found myself caught up in the story and a little bit heartbroken for the Doctor.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted, Mellie, but I don't know how I'm going to handle them changing over to DT even though he's adorable and sexy.

Any other shows we can talk about? I'm watching Arrested Development...

First off, let's all thank Indie for her brilliant idea. I hope that I speak for most of us when I say that I am very excited to hear everything you brilliant women think about the books we decide to read!

First book up (and I think we are all in agreement here as well) should be Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. I would like to propose 7 days of reading time, per chapter, with a discussion after each chapter. Perhaps a start date of July 5th, with discussions...

OK, so every now and then I have a random dream that is very vivid and detailed. The latest weird one was this:
I dream that I am dressed in long victorian era-ish dress, but also a bit Moulin Rouge. I am running down a set of stairs to get something from a small refrigerator at the bottom of the stairs. On my way down I notice a man in a nice suit with top hat standing on the other side of the stairs (the stairs are divided by a rail). He is watching me as I go down the stairs. So...

Since there are multiple countries represented from the board, thought it might be fun to talk about the olympics! woot!

I was never into the olympics until this year when my boy had all the hype. I watched the opening ceremony and it was pretty neat. Gold medals have already been won and people have already been killed. A sad glory, ya know?

how many countries are we rooting for here? I know a lot of us are rooting for USA and England, anymore out there?
